Cultural and Educational Tour to China 2026
Progress American Schools announces registration for students and teachers for the international project “Cultural and Educational Tour to China.”
Dates: March 24 – April 3
Minimum age: 13 years old
The tour combines China’s centuries-old civilization with the dynamic atmosphere of modern megacities. The program includes educational activities, cultural integration, and practical experiences. Participants will become familiar with the specifics of China’s general and higher education systems and, upon completion of the program, will receive an official certificate.
Travel Itinerary
During the tour, we will visit three cities:
- • Beijing
- • Dezhou
- • Shanghai
In each city, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of historical, cultural, and modern characteristics.
Beijing (Days 1–3) – Imperial Grandeur and National Symbols
Participants will visit:
- Great Wall of China – a symbol of China and a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Summer Palace – imperial gardens and panoramic views of Kunming Lake
- Forbidden City – former palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties
- Temple of Heaven – a religious and cultural center
Also included:
- Night tour of Beijing Olympic venues
- Free time in modern districts
- Introduction to traditional Northern Chinese cuisine
Dezhou (Days 4–7) – Education, Culture, and Creativity
Academic Program
Visit to Dezhou University:
- Campus tour
- Museums and laboratories
- Student exchange programs and cultural dialogue
Practical Workshops
- Textile dyeing with natural dyes (Tie-Dye)
- Chinese calligraphy
- Paper cutting and traditional painting
Tradition and Arts
- Kung Fu masterclass and group performance
- Chinese folk music (Guzheng, Xun, Beijing Opera)
Visit to a Public School
- Meeting with peers
- Cultural performances
- Shared lunch
Recreation
Visit to Wuqiao Acrobatic World – spectacular acrobatics and circus shows.
Shanghai (Days 8–10) – Modern Metropolis and Dynamics
Participants will visit:
- Nanjing Road – the city’s main shopping street
- The Bund – historic waterfront area
- Night cruise on the Huangpu River
- Shanghai Disneyland
- Shanghai Wild Animal Park
Additionally:
- Yu Garden
- Jing'an Temple
- Tasting traditional Shanghai dishes (Xiaolongbao)
